Thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday, October 20 for the 2023 Hospital for Special Surgery Autumn Benefit at Guastavino’s in New York City. This signature event is dedicated to raising essential funds for our world-renowned medical education program. It was a wonderful evening celebrating the 160th anniversary of HSS, and a momentous occasion for our four deserving honorees: Jason L. Blevins, MD received the Richard S. Laskin, MD, Young Attending Award; David L. Helfet, MD received the Philip D. Wilson Jr., MD, Teaching Award; Sheeraz Qureshi, MD, MBA received the Nancy Kane Bischoff Mentor Award; and Thomas P. Sculco, MD received the Excellence in Diversity Award. Hosted by the Autumn Benefit Committee and chaired by Lois Kelly, the event included a special performance by Queen V and a keynote speech by coach Bill Cowher. With over 350 people in attendance, the event raised nearly $1 million in support of our key pillars of excellence—training, research, education, and academic programming—for the ultimate benefit of patients worldwide.
