Dear Friends,
On Saturday, September 14, I will be riding in BIKE HSS to benefit Hospital for Special Surgery.
Recently I've been impacted by shoulder issues. I'm a swimmer and it's important for me to swim and yet I found out there is not much we can do for shoulder cartilage or cartilage in general! Currently I have arthritis in my lower back and shoulders and at times it's very painful. My mother has had 2 partial knees and now 2 full knees and also has 2 artificial hips. This could have happened because she was diagnosed late with celiac but even so we need more research to help our cartilage regenerate!
Musculoskeletal issues are among the leading causes of disability, affecting more than one out of every two adults in the US. Funds raised through BIKE HSS will accelerate Hospital for Special Surgery’s efforts to:
- Advance groundbreaking research for new treatments.
- Provide patients with life-changing care, from diagnosis to recovery.
- Share expertise globally and educate the next generation of leaders in the field.
I am riding in support of every person who suffers from a musculoskeletal condition because MOVEment, health, and wellness are more important than ever.
Please consider a donation to my ride. Together, we can help restore mobility and hope to countless patients around the world who rely on HSS.
How you MOVE is why we ride.
Thank you for your consideration.
All the best
